This year's Trade Show opened with Vigo County CEO board chair Mark Metheny saying a few words to the 11 entrepreneurs and early guests before Andrieli Dos Santos took the ceremonial scissors to ribbon, held by board members Brian Huxford and Aaron Mackey. Then, the doors to the Terre Haute Convention Center opened for business.
Sullivan County CEO joined Vigo County again for a second year. It's a great collaboration with our county neighbors. Katy Booker is facilitator.
Megan Stone with the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce was the judge to choose a business with a strong exhibit, pitch, marketing, etc. And, visitors were each asked to judge for a People's Choice award. Andrieli Dos Santos was the winner of both--recognized for her business Instant Glam--customized press-on nails.
Board members met with Vigo County students to reflect on the Trade Show and on the program as a whole. The change they, their families, and their peers have seen in themselves was the number one effect CEO has had, the students shared. It has helped them gain confidence, become a better communicator and team member, as well as know how to start and operate a business.
Thank you to all who came to Trade Show. If you are interested in knowing more about the CEO program or becoming an investor, speaker, business visit, or mentor, please contact the facilitator Teri Bennett at facilitator@vigocountyinceo.com.
